Neustadt-Glewe
Neustadt-Glewe is one of the oldest medieval small towns in Mecklenburg, first mentioned in 1248. Located on the Müritz-Elde waterway, it is surrounded by forests, meadows, ponds, and a lake, offering visitors opportunities for recreational activities in every season. The town is home to historical landmarks such as the 13th-century Alte Burg (Old Castle), considered the oldest preserved fortress in Mecklenburg, and the Baroque-style Neues Schloss (New Château) completed in 1720.
